Nutters Restaurant was established as a business in the summer of 1993 on the site of the new inn pub on edenfield road.
It sat 80 covers and was a great site picking up North West Restaurant of the Year, Lancashire Life Restaurant of the Year and the International Courvoisier Award for Excellence, but space was a problem to support the huge demand. Relays on tables had to be done and bar tables were very restricted due to no building extension plans being passed, a relocation to bigger premises was definitely needed.
In the early months of 2004 rumours spread that “The Manor” was to be sold, Rodney Nutter made a few enquires and discoved the rumour were true. The Manor only situated 1 ½ miles from Nutters Restaurant was an old Whitbread establishment- profits had fallen and the shareholders had decided to sell.
The Nutters made a radical move, a bid was placed, accepted and within 3 months Nutters Restaurant was launched on the site it proudly sits today.
